Vaughan swapped his usual Fender Stratocaster for his 12-string acoustic from Guild during the performance and wowed the audience with his raw talent and soulful blues playing.
The guitar is being sold by Heritage Auctions and is expected to fetch a hefty price given its historical importance and Vaughan's status as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
The auction is set to take place on his May 14th, with music fans and collectors from around the world bidding on the piece. In addition to the guitar itself, the auction will also include several items related to Vaughan's career, including photographs, concert tickets and personal letters.

Vaughan's career came to a tragic end when he died in a helicopter crash in 1990, but his influence on music is still felt today.
